Hi I’m Peter Cole, from Water Feature Melbourne.
I have been making and repairing home owners’ ponds and waterfalls for over 15 years so yours will not be hard for me to fix.
I use Hardcoat, a thick strong structural waterproof layer about 5 to 7mm thick. Here are some examples of its use.
It is not uncommon for ponds like these to leak, either through faulty construction from the start, ground movement or failure of their painted-on membranes. (look right, up then left)
Let’s look at this one first: you can see it has a blue paint-on membrane.
Looking closer we can see it has stretched and maybe also has some water pressure from outside causing it to hole
This is quite a good quality thick membrane, but still it does not stand the test of time.
But none of them do, even this one, see how brittle it became over time. Some of it peeled off like sunburned skin and the other bits shattered.
So we use our patented hardcoat layer over the top, which withstands all back pressure and keeps all the water in, guaranteed.
It even helps the structure underneath hold together
This one had a slow leak, very irritating, where was the water going?
Who cares! so long as a Hardcoat repair stopped it happening, which it did.
You can see that although Hardcoat is a thick layer, around 5 to 7mm, it copes very nicely around sharp corners.
Pond 3 This pond was structurally unsound, but the Hardcoat layer helped hold the pond formwork together, which along with some support-work underneath, did the job.
We can finish the interior with a range of colours to suit.
Pond 4 This job needed structural repair but at the same time we made it look more natural than ever before using the Hardcoat topping techniques.
Pond 5 Yes here at Water Feature Melbourne we can make complete ponds right from the start out of Hardcoat.. This pond previously had a liner that had broken down, and we replaced the liner entirely making it look much more natural too.
Liners cannot always stand up to the terrain, for example bamboo can put a hole straight through it. There you see the power of the roots, but when we replaced this liner with a Hardcoat shell, no further problem.
Illustration. And yes we can repair freeform concrete ponds too, using a flexible patch anchored around the perimeter with Hardcoat as illustrated here.
Unusual shapes can be repaired and sealed too.
Here Hardcoat also helped form-up and anchor the side of the pond, since it is a very tough structural material. All pond work is guaranteed to be waterproof for at least 3 years, but this is minimum.
I work with the Home Improvement Pages people who are very professional.
They have a recommendation system where they personally ring up past customers to check that their comments are genuine, and I am fortunate to have two very nice comments from my customers in regard to repairing their ponds. Both their jobs were featured in this video.
So if you would like your water feature repaired professionally and with a waterproof guarantee, give me a call at water feature melbourne, and I’ll be happy to help.
