If you would like to see what’s inside of a 50’s mid century modern home’s walls and ceiling by Ralph Haver, you will want to watch this video.
Our homeowner decides that he wanted to have all new water supply pipes in his Haver home so that he would be assured that his sixty year old Haver mid century modern home would have solid plumbing for years to come.
We chose to use Pex piping for its quality as well as its ease of use in a retrofit remodel such as this. We started by replacing everything from where the pipe from the water meter rises out of the ground at the house. This included adding a new shut off valve and a pressure regulator as a safety feature against high pressure damaging the water system especially a reverse osmosis water filtration system. The new piping system will go straight to a whole house water filter then to the water softener, then to the new electric tank-less water heater.
This Haver mid century modern home does not have an attic so using Pex pipe is the perfect solution to being able to get the pipe through all of the tight spots and twists and turns that it takes to totally replace the homes water supply system.
Check our YouTube page for additional videos of other work we are doing to this home including rewiring the hoe with a grounded system, and raising the walls of an enclosed patio room to secure a building permit for work done in the past.
