Hello everybody Erik Bryan here owner of Precision Air and Heating. Since 1995 we have performed well over 250,000 service calls across the valley. We thought, what better way to show our experience and know how than answering some common home owner questions.
Aprille in Phoenix asks. Erik, here is a good one for ya. Nice, I like good questions. I have a broken sewer line under my house, can I get that repaired or does it need to be replaced?
That’s a really good question Aprille. And the answer is, depending on the type of slab that you have for your home depends on whether or whether not as plumbers we can repair or replace them. Now, if you have a post tension slab, slabs that have the rebars running from end to end, left to right, front to back pulling and holding your slab into one piece. They usually use these in places where the soil is very soft and moves a lot you have post tension slabs. If you have a post tension slab we can not take a jack hammer to that in fear of busting one of the rebar strands underneath that so we do need to reroute or replace it. But most homes in Phoenix have a mono concrete slab that is just a piece of concrete. And we do quite often cut a nice square hole in, jack hammer it, go down, make the repair, put the concrete back, put the flooring back over the top and you never knew we were there. Very easily done on a regular basis.
Hopefully that helps you out Aprille.
Thank you everybody for sharing your questions. I hope this sheds some light on keeping your home operating properly and as efficiently as possible.
