This Florida native is hardly ever seen anymore but there is a thriving community of them living at the North Point of Virginia Key, close to Key Biscayne Florida.
Sadly, their environment is soon to be destroyed by a group of naturalists who want to remove all the exotic plants and trees which for the last over 100 years have been sheltering these little cute critters and offering food as well. Help us save the population of these little known skunks.
Write to your City officials and tell them to leave this area alone.
Its better to have exotic plants left alone when the environment is thriving with all sorts of creatures representing the entire animal kingdom: mammals, birds, fish, reptiles, amphibians and insects thrive here.
