The Cosair is a truly a unique sailing vessel with a long history in the Gulf Coast area.

Hand built and maintained by Captain Michael Broussard . It is built of Southern White Cedar, very resistant to rot and Pressure Treated Long Leaf Yellow Pine treated .40 guaranteed 35 years even if it is lying on the ground, so in a properly built boat this material will last many decades without failing.

The boat was a stable in the charter community offering a one of a kind of experience on the Gulf waters.

The boat is LOA 74 feet and LOD is 57 feet.

Power by a 2000 Sabrecat (Cat) with 265 HP – the engine room is also masterly designed for accessibly to the engine and genset. One other interesting feature if you look at picture #139 you will see that the filters are by Gulf Coast Filters, you use a roll of paper towel as your filter.

Paper towel rolls as filters are easily purchased any where in the world and increase engine life by superior cleaning of the oil and fuel.

The Corsair is apart of the Wooden Boat Magazine Register of wooden boats.

The cabin area has plenty of room and has cooked many of meal, there is features that you just don’t see on other sailing vessels like the Corsair. Like a Clawfoot Tub.
