Solar Water Heater Sweetwater

how to make a solar water distiller using only a bowl, plastic wrap, rubber band a cup and a rock. easily distill seawater saltwater and dirty water. makes water fresh and clean. cost me .00 to make three of them. the 3 small distillers made 1/2 cup of fresh water. i think if the plastic wrap was at a steeper angle the production would be doubled

    great video….
Tip: try to get the bowl dark with paper / paint to convert more of the
light into heat energy. Use a foam pad with a thin metal like ” can” lid on
top to act as a heat sink and minimize heat transfer to the ground.
    Especially helpful during “shadow times”

Homemade Solar Water Distiller – turns dirty water/saltwater into clean
drinking water! – how to DIY

There is no reason for anyone in America to go thirsty.
Remember this trick on this video and there is also ways to get water out
the thin air, off of plants, dew in the morning and many other survival
tricks I have learned over the years as a Prepper. Most people I trade
ideas with as a Prepper/Survivalist know how to get water just about
anywhere on earth one would find themselves. Even in a desert.
I suggest you all start searching you tube videos for ways to get water,
for after 3 days without water one starts a downward spiral of a horrible
    death.
Remember one can live many days and even weeks without food (Fasting is all
through the Bible) but, even after one day without water the body starts to
    dehydrate.
After all we are mainly sacks of water. It is the main component in all
parts of our body parts and blood.

A black bowl would absorb much more heat then a clear one.

What do you use if you don’t have plastic to cover the dish/bowl with? Is
all that you need to do is let it sit in the sun and if so for how long
until you gather all the drinkable distilled water in the cup in the
    center?

This is fantastic. I have huge rain butts in my garden made of plastic. I`m
going to figure out how to do this with them but obviously on a bigger
scale. Turning my rain water into drinking water would be amazing. Thank
you so much for posting this. This is what Youtube should be used for more
often. You sir are a genius!!

  14. Vegan Minimalist Mark says:

This is complete genius. I`m wondering if I can rig this up on my large
water butts and turn my rain water into clean drinking water. Obviously it
would be the same as this video but on a larger scale. GENIUS !!!

how long it come to fresh water?

  16. John Pritchard says:

Just as a note, you do not have to do this in a glass bowl, use any thing
that you can cover with the clear plastic and set a water collector in the
center. It can be a pot, pan, shallow hole in the ground, just make sure
you put any water producing or high liquid plants (ie catus, grass, weeds,
etc) or any liquid with a high volume of water. Just stay away from any
plants that are poison or have any irritating properties (poison ivy, sumac
    etc).

Just a question, this wouldn’t help remove bacteria in the water would it?

I would rather use a sheet of glass than toxic plastic that’s been
evaporating in the sun. Not good
