    $1,275 installed is a bit on the high end isn’t it? If this is the Air Tap
    7, it can be bought for as low as $499 online. Since you’re a contractor
    you would be getting a special price. But let’s just assume that you had to
    pay the same price as the public at $500. You’re charging $775 dollars for
    labor? What for? It shouldn’t take more than an hour and a half TOPS for a
    skilled plumber to install this. Something doesn’t smell right.

    The A7 is now $437 shipped on Ebay. I used a brand new hotwater heater
    (tank) for my A7 project and spent about $800 total. Needed some PEX and
    some PEX tools.. 🙂 Google ‘XRinger AirTap’ to see my install blog at the
    Eco Renovator DIY website. Our new A7 is making hotwater for two and is
    only using about 1.2 kWh (16 cents) per day.

    Had to cut tube when changing my tank. Can the tube be replaced and the
    unit recharged?
