This is the famous Catalina 30. More than 6000 were made and it boasts more room than practically any other 30′ sailboat on the market.
This is the Tall Rig Shoal Draft version favored by cruisers and club racers. The Shoal Draft Keel draws 4’5″.
Forward is the V Berth with insert. There is a large overhead hatch.
Aft to port is the head, The head was rebuilt in 2013 with a shower and sump, hot and cold pressure water and great ventilation. Across from the head is a hanging locker and more shelves for additional storage.
The salon is spacious with an L-shaped dinette to port and a single settee to starboard. The dining table stores up against the forward bulkhead when not in use, giving you a wide open feeling. There is generous storage throughout the salon with storage below and behind the dinette and the settee. There are shelves and cabinets outboard on both sides of the salon.
On starboard and just to the right of the companionway is the stand-up nav station. There is plenty of room for all of your instruments and it is the electrical hub of the boat. The breaker panel is hinged with a key lock and folds out for easy access for maintenance. There is storage under the nav station, and the batteries are under the shelf there also.
Across from the navigation station is the U shaped galley. There is a stove, double S.S. sink, pressure water system, microwave, great counter space, plenty of storage for all of your galley equipment and a nice sized icebox as well as fridge.
Aft and to port (behind the navigation station) is the quarterberth. It extends under the floor of the cockpit to easily sleep a couple. The front is open to the salon for lots of light and air.
It has a 3 Cylinder Universal Diesel installed new about 8 years ago.
Owner says her diesel runs flawlessly (invested 00 in September 2013 on engine work and fuel system cleanup) and estimates engine has about 300 hours on it.
